How We Think About OCD | Lillian Mishkin | TEDxColegio Maya Youth

Forget the stereotypes: OCD is more than just being neat. Lillian pulls back the curtain on her daily routines and struggles, showing the real weight of obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. Her talk demands that we take OCD seriously and rethink the way we talk about mental health. My name is Lillian Emily Mishkin, and I am 16 years old. My parents work for the foreign service so I've pretty much traveled around my whole live. I started struggling with my mental health about 5 years ago, pretty much ever since the start of COVID. I can say honestly that it has been a rough couple of years, but I really hope to give people a perspective on my journey with my ted talk "How We Think About OCD". This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
