Pemije Emmanuel Gadimoh is a distinguished Doctor of Optometry candidate at the University of Benin, Nigeria, whose leadership and advocacy are redefining the future of eye care.As Founder and President of the Global Optometry Student Community (OPTOGLOBE), he has built a worldwide network that empowers optometry students through collaboration, education, and outreach.Pemije serves as the Global Student Chapter Ambassador for Know The Glow, promoting awareness of childhood eye diseases, and as Vice President of SVOSH-UNIBEN, where he leads student-driven public health initiatives.He has spoken at numerous professional meetings and conferences, including the World Congress of Optometry in the USA and the African Council of Optometry (AFCO) in both Uganda and Tanzania.Recognized as the Nigerian Optometry Student of the Year and the Most Influential Optometry Student at the University of Benin in 2024, This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
